What to Expect on Your First Visit to Complex
Starting somewhere new should not feel like a scavenger hunt.
At Complex, the first visit is designed to be clear: you know where to go, who you will see, and what happens next. Here is the practical walkthrough.
Before You Arrive

- Confirm your location (South Miami, Wynwood, or Fort Lauderdale)
- Complete any intake forms ahead of time when possible
- Wear clothes you can move in
- Bring relevant imaging, surgical notes, or prior PT paperwork if you have them
- Show up a few minutes early so check-in is calm, not rushed
If you are unsure which clinician fits your goals, tell us what sport or activity you want back. We will help route you well.
What the First Session Usually Includes

- Conversation about your history, goals, and timeline
- Movement assessment related to your sport or daily demands
- Initial treatment / training plan based on what we find
- Clear homework and next-step scheduling
You should leave knowing the plan—not guessing.
How We Keep Things Smooth

Our admin and client-services team coordinates scheduling, communication, and follow-ups so your clinician can focus on your care. If something needs to move—travel week, game schedule, post-op restrictions—tell us early. We would rather adjust the plan than have you miss continuity.
Helpful Questions to Ask

- Will I work one-on-one?
- How do we measure progress?
- What should I do between sessions?
- How does this connect to return to sport or gym?
For deeper clinical context, what one-on-one PT changes is a useful read before visit one.
